Hello!

I guess this is my first blog post, better introduce myself! Sorry in advance if this is slightly cringeworthy, I think talking about yourself always is to some extent unfortunately.

I’m Charlotte, 5’10”, 18 years old, live in a small village in Northamptonshire, England, love dogs, bubble baths, fluffy blankets…oh, and travelling. I’m bit of an organisation freak, I always like having a plan to make the most of my time anywhere and know exactly where I’m going and how to get there, it makes for more efficient use of time, right? I love being outside and exploring, most of the time with my 4-year-old beagle Bella, who I’m sure will appear here before too long!

Now that’s out the way, why did I start my blog? Well, I’ve always kept a scrapbook full of tickets and souvenirs from my travels (hence the name ‘Tickets and Travels’), but I have also always loved taking photos and writing about where I go and what I do. Writing isn’t the most practical in a small scrapbook, and I’m not bad with computers, so I thought why not make a blog?

Although this is predominantly going to be a travel blog, I haven’t backpacked round the world and I haven’t been to loads of exotic locations as of yet (although that may soon be changing!) . I’ve been on family holidays, school trips and some short weekends with friends but I’ve still picked up some tips of places to visit along the way so this seems to be as good a place as any to start! I’m also currently on a gap year before starting university so if all goes to plan I’ll hopefully be setting off on a trip around Asia this summer which I’m sure will provide a lot of interesting adventures!

I guess that’s kind of a brief intro to me and why I’m here but I’m sure you’ll get to know me a bit better along the way! Make sure to follow my social media to keep up to date with any new posts and what I’m getting up to, and leave me some comments so I can get to know you too!

Thank you! Starting local is a really good way to go, found a few places near me recently that I never knew about before. Let’s make 2017 a year of exploring! xx
